On July 25 and 26 we took HMS Badger to Discovery Harbour for their Family Discovery Days event, and did two sailpasts complete with cannon salutes. We also staffed our display at the King’s Wharf. After the first sailpast on Saturday, we also “rescued” another sailboat that had run aground south of Magazine Island and we managed to haul her off with Badger - our good deed for the day! HMS Badger certainly looked great at the King’s Wharf, even though she looked a wee bit tiny in the shadow of the massive bow of HMS Tecumseth! it was a great weekend overall and visitors to the event as well as staff really enjoyed our performance.
