On July 31 and August 1 The Ship’s Company participated in the massive Rendezvous Champlain Event in Penetanguishene celebrating the 400th Anniversary of Champlain landing in our area. A key component of this event was the Friday “Procession of History” in which 400 years of Penetanguishene history was represented. To showcase the British Navy in the early 19th century, we towed our skiff HMS Revenge in this large parade. There were excellent crowds at this parade and we received lots of applause as we worked our way down the main street. Both skiff and crew looked great! To top things off, HMS Badger also participated in the “Blessing of the Boats” activity on Saturday morning on Penetanguishene Bay.
