The Boat Shop
The Ship's Company currently works out of a building called the "Boat Shop", which is located adjacent to the Penetanguishene Centennial Museum and Archives, (downtown Penetanguishene). The Boat Shop is a great improvement from our first location nicknamed "The Bitter End", which had to have a door removed so that the Revenge hull could be taken out.
Sail making, rigging, woodworking and socializing are all done here. We have a variety of skill levels amongst our members, and everyone is encouraged to learn a new skill and pitch in however they feel comfortable. Unique items to our period and style such as belaying pins, wooden blocks, and spars are all made by volunteers.
